Hello I picked up a US M1 liner that was repainted for Civil Defense.  The sweatband and Leather chinstrap were in place and in decent shape.  Sweatband is marked W199QM 39947 L&I. (I believe Mid war with unreinforced Aligator Clips.)  The Leather chinstrap is still relatively supple.  It has a Brass Buckle with Pat No.  It alos has United Carr Rivets. The question I have is the leather on the chinstrap.  It has a Keystone mark with a Capital R in it.  Who is the manufacturer? Thank you

Just bought this Rock Ola m1. Probably spent to much. A little surprised that there is no bayonet lug, considering the sight and safety are not old.    Any info on this old girl?

I apologize... I wasn't sure. I'm not an expert in helmets at all. I just wanted to know if it was real or fake.    I didn't check the description. My fault.    Sorry 'bout that.    Wade

I'm not sure what advice you are asking forum members.  If you like obvious replicas, why not? The auction says(my paraphrase) it's a replica display piece, depicting a certain unit, and artificially aged to appear as if used in WWII. What are you willing to pay for a known replica and why you'd want it are questions only you can answer.  D

Nice acquisition.  I have a few of these myself and you're correct, they are well made knives.  Some of the Knife Crafter knives have etchings visible on the sword blade portion of the knife.  They are beautiful knives for sure.  Congrats!
