Butlers medal is on display at the Marine Corps Museum, John T. Myers sold recently off this forum, Percival Popes I think is on display at the Navy Memorial Museum, Buck Nevilles is in the Marine Corps Museum but not on display, and I thought there was one on display at the Marine Corps Club in San Francisco. -

I'll be at Pleasant Hill, where Green was wounded, next month. Annual trip! I know a couple of the locals who located the 173rd's rifle pits on the battlefield .....and a very nice jacket you have there. Thanks for sharing! -

I’ve actually been to the house of a forum member/ dealer who doesn’t have much militaria in his house, but has an outbuilding devoted to his collection. It is larger than my entire house. It is all beautifully laid out. I could only dream such a thing for myself. I have a small corner of our bedroom and a corner of our garage. It’s mostly stored in boxes and stuffed into closets. mikie -

KS Kid, Your patch appears to have a merrowed edge which makes it post 1969 manufacture- that's the year that merrowed edges on patches became the specified edge for patches. Mark Bando classifies these "scribble eye" patches as Type 14's. Allan -

I have heard of the paper drop tanks but did they ever use steel tanks? I just assumed they would have been aluminum
