Anyone know what the 741 stands for on this Noncombatant Gas Mask Bag ?Only thing I could find was 741st Tank Battalion but not sure that pertains. -

I was in Coast Guard “A” school in 1989. Everyday we students had to do a pyro locker and armory inventory. I think we had about 30 of these in the small arms locker, all WWII issue.
