Interesting note in the last line of that Ridgway message: HOPE 52ND DIVISION WILL ALSO BE ALLOWED TO COME This is in reference to the 52nd Scottish Lowland Division which had been leg up until Dunkirk, then trained in Mountain tactics, and then as an Airmobile Division for Arnhem and hopefully the 'push' to the Reich. When the 1st Airborne Division was effective destroyed, this hope of Matthew Ridgway's was not fulfilled in Holland. -

Finally able to get decent photos of this helmet that I’ve had for years. Pictures in the past had the helmet cover light in color and did not show the dirt. I believe I was taking the pictures in too much sunlight. I don’t really know the true story this helmet, but this is what I was told. The helmet came out of a yard sale. I cannot find the piece of paper of which state. Hopefully, I can find it soon. The name was E.C McIntyre USMC. I did not have any luck finding him. It came with the two Peanut Patches The Charlie Brown patch was not in the spot it is in now. The Patch was up under the cover and I did not know it was there. I had to slide it down and I assume that’s where it goes. It fits over the hole really well. The Linus patch was between the liner and the helmet. I’m not sure if he swapped him out at times or what the story is. -

Thanks very much for sharing the final diorama pictures of your Mustang, it looks awesome! I really like the airfield scene you built with that excellent base and background picture, well done! Really looking forward to see some pictures of your latest modeling projects no matter what century. 😉 Lars -

Were OD loops ever used on Vietnam era made boonie hats? The ones I have seen have used TS matching material. Just wondered if anyone has an example of one with OD loops? Thanks for any help. -
