Here’s a few things:   F = shell contains iron in the brass (copper/zinc) alloy   Primer date is 1942, I think, but can’t make out month. Possibly, manufactured at Tokyo Arsenal.   Shell manufactured at Nagoya Arsenal.   Might want to provide diameter measurement to help with caliber ID.

👍👍👍👍👍 I’m somehow out of LIKEs again! I hope you happen to find one eventually.    Thinking out-of-the-box, maybe you should have those talented gals knit you one 😁.    mikie

Just a quick introduction, as this will be my first post.  I started collecting militaria and C&R firearms back when I was 13.  A loooong time ago.  What a journey it has been.  I was extremely lucky to have had the time and money to visit some amazing battlefields including The Somme, Guadalcanal, Moscow, Anzio, Bataan and Peleliu.  Recently I have gotten back into collecting after raising my kids.  I was looking for some Garand bandoliers recently, what I found was its hard to find a real WWII version, and there is not a whole lot of info out there.  Thankfully I found a lot(10) for sale so i jumped in and I have way more than I bargained for.  The posts I found on this board were very helpful but some were quite old.  Turns out these were not Garand but Springfield bandoliers but are basically the same size.  A lot of the dates are not clear but some were.  I do have brown bandolier which seems to be an outlier but hopefully someone has seen before.  I think this will answer a question from an older thread from mikewilde90 .

These came with a mix match of military pins etc.  A couple gold and silver incomplete EGAs.  I believe there is a name for these.  Just escapes me.  Thank You

That's an irrefutable opinion, aka,  a fact.   Supply and demand.    My attitude about collecting is enjoy it for the intrinsic enjoyment,  and don't count on profiting later or even "recovering your investment" (if you consider it an investment).
