I have two North China boxing belts/ buckles for Army, Navy and Marine competitors. On the back of your belt buckle is there any markers stamp or mark….is the belt center part silver ? If a local maker, ie Chinese it will most likely have more value as Chinese silver is collectible….

Hello all, I need some help understanding what I received in an M2 Jungle Kit pouch.  I received the pouch with some original contents awhile back and was disappointed when I uncapped the Frazer's Solution bottle to discover that it had the full opening rather than the small hole type.  Because of this I assumed that it was a reproduction.  Anyway, I was putting things away and it hit me that the bottle seemed awful small, so I dug out an original WW2 Frazer's bottle and compared.  As you can see from the pics the one with the full hole is, in fact, smaller than the regular one and is a 1/2 ounce bottle rather than the standard 1 ounce.  What makes me believe that it might be an original WW2 is that the label shows discoloration affected by time.  Also there is some residue in the bottle that would not normally be there if it was a reproduction.  I believe that because of the smallness of the bottle it would have to have a full opening. Has anyone ever seen one like this or know anything about this variation.

Welcome. You say that you inherited this pistol….was the person who had it a veteran…? It wasn’t uncommon for those who managed to bring home a sidearm to have them nickel-plated, along the lines of having a war trophy.   Case in point is that it’s no longer original, the original finish is long gone…… apart from that it looks to be a complete 1944 Colt 1911A1. The value would depend on the buyer, really….. if the pistol had some provenance as to who carried it and if they were responsible for refinishing it, it would add to the worth IMHO….it is history.   Just by itself it only has shooter status, $800- $1200 perhaps. Hard to say for sure. It’s cool, I like it.

Years ago I posted pics of my 37mm to 120mm ordnance for references. I had the pics and " M" designations. I did find these pics, most Tank rounds.
