Hey everyone, we have this frogskin top and was apparently used in the movie Windtalkers. The story is that this top was from the Marine Corps Historical company. I’m assuming it’s a repro prop but just wanted to double check before we sell it as such. The button snaps say Scoville Mfg on them. Thank you! Jake -

Found today at an antique store going out of business. This WAC Khaki uniform belonged to Nellie J. Gray who was a Corporal at the time serving with the USAAF Personnel Distribution Command. It has her Jacket, shirt, skirt and garrison caps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nellie_Gray_(activist) -

This isn’t much, but there was a US Navy LT August Charles Hauck (born 11 March 1906) who was first an enlisted sailor, then a Botswain (Warrant Officer), and, later, a Lieutenant (LT) during WWII. Source for following is ancestrydotcom: -

I had to remove this one from a dress green coat (AG 44 dated 1967) that had severe moth and water damage, but I did remove all insignia. The Soldier was a Master Sergeant, and based on his service stripes served at least 27 years (Maybe more) and his overseas marks indicated at least 2.5 years in combat or overseas service. Sadly this one was not named, but he served in both the Pacific and European Theaters and was in prior to December 7, 1941 (American Defense Ribbon) and also went into the Army reserves, (post WW2) since the Armed Forces Reserve Ribbon with hourglass device was established in the late 50s ). His former wartime service was with the 101st and the current unit assignment patch was the 38th Artillery Brigade, later redesignated 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. I wonder if he was an artilleryman during his career?? No indications of any combat jumps on the bullion jump wings either, but regardless and interesting set nonetheless.. 101st patch appears to be a post WW2 scribble eye variant with blue tinge on the border with attached tab...
