With a Black edge like that perhaps the patch is English Made, the colored insert of course was added later before patch was sewn on, on what? looks like a Field Jacket right. -

You're welcome Chris. It took a little while but I was finally able to nail down who the helmet belonged to. By the way, that's a really cool looking helmet! And now you have the story of the man who wore it which makes it even better. I love it. Take care...Matt -

Some recent ebay finds, I don’t usually purchase cartridge belts but I don’t have a 9 pocket model and this one’s named. I’m assuming the “ MPLS “ is for Minneapolis?haven’t found much about the owner but still researching. As well as a Logan smyth MC-1 & a screw pommel MK2, also named. -
