Awesome grouping!

You'll find Chinese company's legally and illegally branding knives and and other random items with well known trademarks and logos, you'll also find American companies being paid money by a 3rd party to do the same thing, usually made in China too.     Occasionally you can get good well known knife company sourcing blade material from China too, one company that does this well would be the likes of Spyderco... Take it from me, the knife world is a murky and sometimes deceptive environment to traverse. *cough Bark River cough* 

Pristine indeed! My lighter collecting interests commence with the Korean War, so I have no direct experience with WW2 "Black-Crackle" lighters. I have heard of fakers using "Rhino Liner" truck bed spray to approximate the WW2 finishes. On the plus side your Park-Sherman insert appears just as clean as the cases exterior. Follow up when you have it in-hand.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the seabag. Plenty of well preserved examples out there in the same shape and condition. Not every single one got ran over by a tank and beat with a bat. I’ve seen seabags come from vet estates that are beautifully painted. Plus this bag came with more from the vet estate.

There was, I did not post them with this, but they were posted in the original post  in the latest finds section. I only posted the bag for that appraisal only.here are the items if that is what your looking for and adds to your opinion of original or not.

Thrift store find today. Named double patched, Med-Reg size. Patched:  Civil Affairs/Psyops on left shoulder, 1st Armored Division on the right shoulder.    I needed a good DCU to pin my gathered DCU patches to. Glad I got a decent example for the base.  

Dave, as a Civil War reenactor who is the battalion adjutant I just wanted to warn you that there are REALLY good copies out there.  Those of the gentleman I learned from are nearly indistinguishable form the real thing, although he leaves a mark on all his that an expert would find.  For the 150th Sharpsburg event we turned in reports printed on original Civil War paper, and my 1st Lts commission is on the same paper.       

Good chance it’s what I guess they call a “tribute” item- painted decades after WW2 by the vet or family member.  Had all the different paint colors available and banged it out all in one shot.
