Hello,   Can anyone help me learn how to tell if these are real or repros or give an opinion before buying?   https://os.militaria-1911.com/products/late-1960s-okinawa-tiger-pattern-ciso-cut-boonie-hat-with-local-modifications-used https://os.militaria-1911.com/products/late-1960s-late-war-pattern-locally-made-booney-hat-good-condition-used     BR Pete

This`is`from`Battle`Guide This iconic wartime footage is among the most recognisable of the Second World War: a B-24 Liberator on a bombing run, its wing sheared off in an instant, plunging toward the ground in flames—the moment preserved by a combat cameraman. But while those scenes are widely known, the story behind them is not.

Pleased to add this to the collection to honour:   Edward Joseph Burns. H&S Co, 5th Pioneer Battalion 5th Marine Division. This is the first P42 I have seen UNIS marked to the 5th Marine Division.

That’s a beauty.     Looks like maybe the tip was reworked a little, or at least blunted.

Ditto.  Hard to find little bugger.  Congrats!

Keep it for yourself; you will then have no question that it will be taken care of. He made all three majors with the 3rd Division 👍💯   Kurt

I primarily collect WW2 Army equipment and have very few USMC items, but I have always been looking to add a Robeson if the opportunity arose.  Got this one on Ebay and bid my max believing that it would go for more than the amount I could afford but I got it for less than $575 I bid so I was somewhat surprised.  The blade has minor pitting and has lost a fair amount of it bluing.  The leather handle is a bit dark from handleing and the leather scabbard is a bit stained also.  However, the handle is solid and the pommel is intact with its' original pinning and the scabbard is the correct scabbard for this knife.
