Thought I would add my set to the topic. These came locally however I am guessing the sergeant was stationed at Lowry Airfield. Tailored in Denver Colorado, named and dated 1942. Even the cap has the gold and blue cord trim and was put out by Feldman which was also in Denver and produced the well-known crusher cap. This was pulled from a suitcase out of an estate where they had sat since the war. -

Hey there. I'm working on a late-Vietnam USMC impression, and I heard that it was common for some to ditch their ammo pouches in favor of a few bandoliers. Is this true, and if so, does anyone have any good photos of this? Thanks! Wade -
