Hello I have a question! Many 1960s US-Vietnam uniforms had colored patches! Many were sewn on with white thread. What was the type of thread used for this, please?

ive seen foam like that used in helmets and liner props in movies. ive got a screenshot from tropic thunder where you can se the inside of robert downys helmet and it has foam like this. of course i cant find the pic when i want to lol. 

If I remember right the seller also had a variety of wings with different religious symbols. I'm no expert on wings but these are definitely strange…

I am surprised at the number of replies on this topic. I have seen tons of variations of these patches (some of which you guys have posted on here) online during my own research. I have to say I've never seen this variation before, seems like the dog is completely different than what I got. I really enjoyed seeing those groupings some of you posted!

reminds me of some iranian ided m1s with british MKII type liners in them. perhaps they had some access to m1917a1 type liners as well.
