This group walked into a friend's used jewelry store near Tacoma. I am assuming these are all reissues. The Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Good Conduct are all named. Interesringly, the Bronze Star and Purple Heart have wear where the name is engraved. Sam Bufalini was born to Italian immigrant parents, near Ambridge PA, on Feb 4, 1923. He enlisted in the Army shortly after war was declared. He ended up with Co. H, 114th Infantry 44th Division. Bufalini became a sergeant (squad leader) and was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. Bufalini passed away in Tacoma, WA (just a few miles from where I bought the medals) on Dec 29, 2010. I have been unable to determine where and when he received his two wounds. Just confirming that all these are reissues?

I don’t know, this is a listing I was sent by one of my friends. All the ones I have seen in my experience were made of cotton, but it may vary.

Don’t recall if I already posted these matches on not:     These came in the “Accessory Pack” (also called a “Comfort Pack”) in the Vietnam era C-Rations (technically, they were “Meals, Combat, Individual”). And they were one of the reasons everyone had to purchase a lighter. I think these matches only worked perhaps 50% of the time.

Thank you! It’s definitely one of my favorite pieces right now.

Thank you! I’ve been considering at least lightly stitching the chevrons back on so the coat is complete again.

I concur with VMI88 about the cast neck. That would not be the norm. That said there is a similar commercial drum with what appears to be a cast spout on pg 73 of US Army & Militia Canteens 1775-1910, Mike O'Donnell. Drum canteens can be difficult to authenticate, but again as VMI88 stated, there's been about a zillion repro canteens made since the 70's. I see old Jarnagin tinware for sale as original regularly. I've got a reasonable 58 canteen collection, but never pulled the trigger on a tin drum for the above reasons. Interesting canteen regardless. Send a pic to Rafael at Shiloh Relics, or maybe Brian Akins at Rebel Relics. They may be able to give you more info.   Shameless canteen collection plug

The oldest female uniform I have. Has weights on the underside of the front like a hem weight. Two front pockets on the skirt. Thanks Greg.

I just found this today, and have no idea what LRRP unit this is supposed to represent. Nor do I have any idea about authenticity. Any help would be appreciated.
