You could follow the routes of his units in readily available WW2 histories published by the US Army, also known as the "Green Books." They can be found for downloading on the US Army Center of Military History website. -

Am trying to find out what cities my father served. I understand he was in 3 battles (GO 33,40, WD 45). Separation papers say served in England, France and Belgium but not city. Can anyone help me? -

Another interesting thing in the manual. There is a review of wwII operations with dates of an operation and what happened. Just saw it in glancing. Will read it more in depth tonight -
