No problem, happy to help. I have not posted this one yet, it's in the line. I have about 4000 more to post, and more coming all the time. That's part of the fun, you can't have 'em all...   Randy

Ah okay, noted! Yeah I figured you did lol. Ah thats awesome, thanks! I was one a similar website earlier, might have been yours, and thats where I had found the first picture of the patch.   Thanks for all your help!

Hey all, got these for free from a neighbor who bought them for gardening but never used them. Really nice markings on both an completely unused in mint condition except some storage wear. Enjoy!

I've seen WW2 and Korean War images of soldiers wearing ribbons on field and work clothing. Also, general officers sometimes decide their own uniform and insignia combinations ( within reasonable parameters, I hope).

Gemsco in the later 60s into the 70 used a unique silky prestiched material like the blue background on yours. The Japanese used a prestitched material as well, but those were usually handmade. BTW, I meant 6549th FMS in my reply and fat fingered it just so there's no confusion!  If you want to see more USAF patches, I'm the administrator for the USAF portion at: https://usmilitarypatches.com/us-air-force/ You don't need to register, just go in and look around. Over 45,000 patches in the USAF section alone.   Randy

Yeah they sure can be haha. It had be on a wild goose chase for a couple of hours in and out. I couldn't find much of anything asides from very preliminary info as there isn't any detailed history of the unit that I know of. Went on as many websites I could think of. Funnily enough I found some of the guys who were in the unit of Vet Friends where they have a search engine that allows you to look up a unit and add that you were in it to reconnect with old friends.  Thanks for the info, I'm surprised someone who knew what they were talking about actually replied haha. It's amazing you know so much about a unit I couldn't find anything detailed history on.   If you don't mind my asking, how can you tell who made the patch? I deal with patches where I work, which is how I came into possession of this one, but it's rather hard to find solid details on patch manufactures and info on the history of such patches in my experience.    Thanks!

Reference the last photo, of General Trudeau— Has anyone ever before seen ribbons on a set of fatigues?  In 30 years in the Army I never did… interesting.
