It makes more sense because the khaki blends well with the OD3 Paratrooper jacket. It will also work with the Parsons jacket & anything cotton.

It all came that way. Early camo cover with early liner.

This post identifies the insignia on the left as the  485th Fighter Squadron  -     This site identifies the right hand insignia as that of  VX-2  -   https://bluejacket.com/usn_avi_insig_v-tuwx.html   Larry

Donna,   Welcome to the forum. Many years ago we met at an ASMIC Convention. It is nice to see you here. I remember you talking about the WOSK Store and you had some items with you for sale.   Enjoy your time here..   Best regards   Leigh

Hello and welcome. I’m sure many on here, myself included, would like to see what you’ve found in your parents’ store. As an aside, there used to be an Army surplus store in Washington DC on Pennsylvania Avenue many, many years ago. It had massive wooden bins filled with military patches, each for a nickel. Loved that place. I’m sure your family’s store was equally interesting!

I'm actually looking for two SCS collar discs for a living history impression of a CCC camp commander.  The camp commanders were U.S. Army officers in the Organized Reserve and would wear collar discs of a sponsoring organization.  My impression will be that of a captain at SCS-6/Camp 836 next to Fort Stanton State Historic Site, New Mexico.  The uniform patch will be the pre-WWII Organized Reserve 103rd Division, two of which I'm also on the hunt for (the patch colors and design are slightly different than the WWII 103rd Division patch)

Did they also sell wings? When you come back and answer my question, that will be two posts. Everytime you answer a question... ask a question... comment on something make a post of your own here like you have done etc etc your post count goes up. If you find something that interests you on the forum.... make a comment on it. Ask questions etc etc.. You will get to 30 in no time. For example.. my post here on your thread is my 3949th post on this forum. Cheers! Dave

And this is your first dio? Wow, thanks for sharing it here! I love all the detail especially the goggles of the crew. Carrier, soldiers and the signpost seem to be an exact copy of the photo; a stunning artwork. Looking forward to seeing what comes next.
