Hey Guys, I've Posted here some years back, & just came across his Group & Notebook as I continue to go through my Groups. This below is the Document I received from Ms. Alice Juda at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. I've also included my older Post for some background on the Recipient's Service Career. I didn’t have a chance to Post some of his extensive Group, but will try to get some of it up soon.      @>>>. This Guy appears to have had an interesting Naval career. He was initially scheduled to graduate with the JANE's class of 1919, but was graduated a year early from Annapolis due to our entry into WW1. ( Grad. date was forwarded to 06-06-1918 ) He served a tour in the Atlantic aboard USS Aylwin on convoy escort & anti-sub duty. Then, he was assigned to the USS Barker to assist in evacuating foreign nationals during the Russian civil war, circa 1920 - 21. ( His USNA Obituary notes he commanded a sub chaser det. in the Russian Crimean evac., but the his file papers state his duty was aboard the Barker ?? ) He did 10 years sub duty at Coco Solo, CZ, along with 3 years as C.O. of S-47. Served as Damage Control Officer aboard the Augusta in 1938, & commanded the Navy's LION 4 unit at Manus Island. Finished up with TD as C.O. of USS Dane during one of the Magic Carpet operations. There's a few assignments I can't recall off hand, but all in all a good solid career. THANKS again Guys, I appreciate the replies. Oh, I guess I should include his name, just for the record. I am trying to harness "Uncle Ed" to my WW1 M/1917 MG Cart.  I have a poor photo of a hitch, but it is not much use.  Does anyone have a source for a drawing of correct cart harness?  On the plus side I have several surplus MG cart saddles if anyone needs one.  The cart is all kitted out and looks pretty good.  I have also included a shot of "Gen. Bell" with his 1924 Phillips Pack saddle carrying ammo.  I hope he is more correctly harnessed.  I was able to purchase a "bunch" of US draft harness, and I am trying to make it work.  Any help would be appreciated. had a set of LBE to a female USAF/ Air National Guard member. Belt,suspenders, ammo pouches, canteen covers were all tan. Spent a 6 month rotation in Saudi in early 2000's

Honestly, I wouldn't spend $300 on that, maybe $200 at best.  The problem with the staples compromises the entire sheath.

I know the airforce used tan gear but I think it was commercial and not marked. There is also the tan Saudi Arabia marked one's but those aren't marked U.S.

Strange because the front is gilded. Led alloy cast with a gilded front…more expensive to do that than make the badge lol

That's a great grouping, and checks a lot of boxes with the state collar disc, Mexican Border service, and a diary as well. Congrats on that one.    Scott
