HELASRON Two - early type  

I enjoy my Thompsons, down to two now, a M1928A1 and a M1A1, both full auto and transferable.  Helmet is a 1917A1.  

Japanese soldier with a Thompson, location is given as Burma.

What are your thoughts on these? Is the m1 rigger modified? The m1 looks like an 82nd one I have seen in a museum before, also notice the amount of times the make mark was stamped.  Thanks for the help.   

Amazing map, I can even see the street in District 2 where the hotel is that I stayed in when I visited Vietnam last year 😮   If you compare it wit Google Maps it's obvious the city has grown in size quite a lot.

This looks like a "Golden Falcons" patch except the bird is black, wearing headphones, and carrying a red bomb. It certainly suggests anti-submarine. I can't find anything like it. The patch meadures 6" across the bottom banner. There is a clear substance residue, in spots, on the back - maybe an iron-on aid or something? Trying to get a positive ID, age and origin. Thanks for any help.

Interesting rifle.  I would also think the damage is battle damage due to the concentrated area. Especially with the sling swivel snapped in two.  I would think someone would have removed that so as not to snag on clothes, skin, etc.  It looks like someone preserved this as a souvenir of an event...

The would guess the handle was added by the soldier as a hook to attach to his gear while in the field.
