SOURCE:  Ancestry.com   Note:  These are just the records with the keyword "Raider" in them for Roy W. Jennings.  There are more records though.

Looks correct.  You asked for opinions, here’s mine:   The majority of the value is in the sheath, as the knife has been broken, re-tipped, and shortened considerably - and not a stellar job at that.  It’s too bad, as the handle is in good shape. The right way to do that job is to remove material the entire length of the blade, in order to keep the same geometry.  Ship has sailed.     I sold a solid Raider sheath, with keeper, for $225 not long ago.  As your is missing the keeper, and depending if the crease below the plate is deep, I’d dial it down accordingly.     The range is broad on these, driven by condition and attribution.

I found a Roy W. Jennings in the Raider roster which matches the initials on the sheath.

You're McKinney has 1st Gulf War ribbons (Kuwait, I believe) so he may have retired some time ago.  Maybe look at the same time frame as Stevens.

Ken,   Here are some interesting images of some more Horse Drawn water wagons and one other wagon that has something a little stronger, Tequila..   The wooden barrels were used to store, age and transport tequila here in the region... During the Mexican Revolution the US Soldiers would on occasion inspect these type of transports to ensure weapons and other contraband were not being smuggled across the border either into the US or into Mexico...    These are in and around the El Paso and Mexico region surrounding Ft Bliss..   I am still looking for images of the watering trough for you..   Best regards   Leigh

Aye,  They were sized ballcaps, not the adjustable 'snap-back' band ball caps.  Also, they were not fully embroidered but had a 'ball cap patch' sewn or ironed onto them.  The ballcap patches were sold aboard in the ships' store, purchased with the crews' welfare funds by the storekeeper for sale to the crew.   Like these from one of my ships...       ...and these from another of my ships, sold in the ships' store         More DDG examples, 1960's - 1980's                 Battleships (1980's)                         Aircraft Carriers                 Cruisers                     Auxilliaries                     One of my favorites, the 'Hot Potato' Salesman sample with the manufacturers instructions                   Submarine Rescue (ASR)
