Here are some items from the Western Cartridge Company. My wife's grandmother worked in that plant during WW II. They made small arms ammunition (.45 ACP and shotgun amongst other calibers). -

The US made period M1944 nets always have stiff bands, I have 4 of them and 3 loose WWII neoprene bands, they are all stiff and hard to stretch. The post war M1944 style nets seem to always have very elastic bands, the nets themselves are usually much softer as well and usually a pea color green, while US M1944 nets are very dull almost grayish green. Nice net! -

Nope. Not a typo. There is/has always been a debate about the origins of the name "Jeep" (which Willis copywrote in1943) as to whether it evolved from "Peep" which a number of GI's called it based on the small vehicle size or from the FORD GPW designation. GPWs were sometimes referred to as "GPs" and "Jeep" could have evolved from that. It was just great to see it in print! OD -

We all need to discuss the sewing machine cam/computerized stitching on both the front and back. It's quite obvious but, for some reason, often unrecognized. I'm no period patch pro but that is a tell that would put me off.
