The ball and the clip look US, but the D ring like object the ball is on I have never seen. The parts and the chinstaro itself doesn’t look like it’s a Euro clone or something. I’m thinking this is just an odd modification? I can’t think of what the ball is attached to though, never seen that before. -

This is an amazing group that would be the star of my collection if i had it. I hope you can find out the details on why the Russians awarded it. The ribbon bars are awesome and would the Legion medal be engraved?
