deros Posted November 30, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2009 My P1/P1a Helmet is minus earphones, What do I need to be sourcing and who best to do them at a friendly price?
Bugme Posted November 30, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 30, 2009 Before someone asks, a P1/P1A is a Fighter Pilot Helmet that was used during the Korean War. See example of one below. I've also moved this thread to aviation where you might get more responses.
Bluelight Posted December 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2009 I know someone who used to make resin replicas. I will let you know if he is still in business. Cheers, Bluelight
Charlie Flick Posted December 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 26, 2009 Back when I was chasing flight helmets and related gear this outfit had a pretty good selection of stuff: http://www.garciaaviation.com/cgi-local/storepro5/agora.cgi? Bluelight Posted December 26, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 26, 2009 Gerry Asher still has a few sets of resin replicas of the upgraded ANB-H-1 receivers used in the HS-38A headsets installed in P-1, P-1A, P-1B and P-3 helmets. You can contact him at gmasher(at)netzero.net The replicas are cast in black resin so you need to add a bit of details yourself. You can find photos of the HS-38A headset here: http://www.best-of-flightgear.dk/commsusaf.htm Scroll down about one third. If you need more photos or information, let me know.
