seanmc1114 Posted September 28, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 28, 2009 The ribbon after the Good Conduct Medal on the second row is the American Defense Service Medal for service on active duty between September 1, 1939 and December 7, 1941 before America entered World War II. The ribbon after the World War II Victory Medal is the National Defense Service Medal. The star indicates the recipient was on active duty during both the Korean War era as well as the Vietnam era.
