graham Posted May 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2009 Picked up these the other day. The AAF Air crew member physical record card is in the name of Miss Helen Eaton. My first thought was flight nurse but the "Miss" makes me think civilian. Not sure if it is the same woman in the second photo, she is wearing a British field service cap [not a garrison cap]. on the back it says Milan Airport. ANY THOUGHTS ? The date on the card is 19 Jul 46, and it says she was a tech rep to test aeronatic instruments. The WASPs were disbanded in Dec 1944. Most photos of male tech reps show them wearing military uniforms w/ tech rep insignia which closely resembled standard military insignia. She appears to be similarly attired.
