Joyce Posted February 26 Share #1 Posted February 26 I found this trunk while cleaning out my father's barn in Pittsburgh. My father helped clean out homes for many people in the area, and I don't know where this came from. Rather than selling it, as I've had many people wanting to buy it, I'd like to see if I can return it to his family. I have no idea how to contact family or figure out where he's from. Any help is appreciated! IMG_4869.HEIC IMG_4868.HEIC IMG_4867.HEIC
manayunkman Posted February 26 Share #2 Posted February 26 I can’t imagine anyone would want a trunk. Good luck on your mission.
Joyce Posted February 26 Author Share #3 Posted February 26 So you think it is best if I just sell it?
manayunkman Posted February 26 Share #4 Posted February 26 If you can find a buyer you’re way ahead of the game. Empty trunks are very hard to get rid of unless there is artwork on it, which this one doesn’t have. Last time I had to sell a trunk I finally, after several weeks hauling it to the flea market every weekend, got $5 and was happy to see it go. P-59A Posted February 28 Share #6 Posted February 28 The other road is to ask the operator for everyone in that state to give you everyone with that last name for the county and make cold calls OR look for his obit and see if family is named then ask the operator for those names.
