The Naval Academy Preparatory School is the Navy's fourth oldest school; only the Naval War College, the Naval Postgraduate School, and the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland are older. Informal preparatory classes began as early as 1915.

Here are a few of mine, currently residing on my "retirement" patch jacket. I also included a Naval Postgraduate School patch. :) 

 

The 10th Company patch was the one used by my company. My midshipmen designed it in 2004, and it was used on the black "Ike" jackets for all companies for the subsequent I-don't-know-how-many years. I was the officer representative for the pistol team, but to be fully transparent, I never saw the pistol team patch when I was at the Academy. This one was from eBay years later. No idea when they were made or who had them made.

Colt Woodsman Match Target .22 pistol (Second Series)

In 1927, after some design changes and improvements the name “Woodsman” appears until 1941. Production resumed after the war from 1947 to 1955 (the time period when the patch was made) with additional frame and design changes. The Third Series Woodsman was in production from 1955 until 1977.

Wear one stripe of yellow braid, 1/8 inch wide, around each sleeve, placing the lower edge of the stripe

2 inches from and parallel to the edge of the cuff
