Pennsylvania 104th Cavalry, a very common patch especially if you live in PA.

That would make sense.

 

There are collectors in PA who collect only 104th Cavalry.

It would have been worn some time between 1952 to 1989 when the unit was the 104th Armored Cavalry Regiment and had its own SSI. Before and after those dates it is designated as 104th Cavalry. Though, I believe the Army uses the full unit name (104th Cavalry Regiment) these days, it is not a separate unit like the 2nd, 3rd, 6th,11th, 14th were with their own SSI (and some my still be).
