Hello!

I’ve been looking to add a USAAF Uniform to the collection for some time and I’ve found this one. I’d greatly appreciate some feedback on it.

Hopefully the pictures turned out good since I’m usung my phone at the moment.

Thanks for your time!

Tobias

That appears to be a nice honest uniform. The jacket is cut down from an officer's four pocket. From the limited pics I would say the insignia all looks original. Without a name though it is basically a sum of the parts type thing. Nice uniform but I wouldn't over pay for it.

Thank you! It’s not too overpriced IMO, I’ll buy it!

Hi,

I'm not properly a master in the knowledge of this field but to me looks everything ok. Is the classical tailored officer jacket (I prefer the model with the hided buttons but so be it), shortened as a british battledress as the fashion of the time wanted. The ribbons are ok so do the other insigna. Very nice the ebroidered 15th AAF patch. Any red flag by my side. I Agree however that it should not be overpaid and that its value is the sum of the parts that compose it.

Thanks guys!

I’ll go for it but just one more question, does anyone know which medal the last ribbon is supposed to be? Defenitely some sort of campaign ribbon but which one?

The first two ones looks to be for the DFC and Air Medal

Thanks again!

European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal (ETO)  Wiki info..

The European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal is a military award of the United States Armed Forces which was first created on November 6, 1942, by Executive Order 9265 [1][2] issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.[3] The medal was intended to recognize those military service members who had performed military duty in the European Theater (to include North Africa and the Middle East) during the years of the Second World War.

And the vintage ribbon bar with those non-standard OLC’s on the Air Medal  really adds to the overall look.
Will be interesting to see the reverse of the wings.

Thank you! Definitely honored to own this!

I’ve ordered a proper mannequin that is yet to arrive but here are some quick photos of it on my current mannequin. I’ll take some proper photos once it’s all in order!

Now it’s finally on it’s right place in the collection! Here are some pictures:

Note: I don’t know why my photos turn out so blurry?

But thanks for looking and all the help, Tobias
