patches Posted August 29, 2022 #1 Posted August 29, 2022 It's on record the Marine Corps continued to use the old WWII M2 60mm Mortar long after it was no longer used by the Army. Here's a photo find on one being used, Mortar Team from the 1st Battalion 5th Marines 1st Marine Division Hue February 1968.
patches Posted August 29, 2022 Author #2 Posted August 29, 2022 Te Marines also used the newer M19 60mm Mortar, the Army didn't adopt it apparently. Another Marine Mortar team in action, I think Dewey Canyon in February 1969.
