Hi all, can anyone confirm if these are originals or repros?  If originals, where were they were made?

Thanks!

The USAF ones look correct for the period.  Congratulations.

The USN Attack Squadron 65 looks like a recent reproduction, regardless of the Vietnamese language newsprint.  It looks like it was made on a large loom weaving machine,

and is similar to other reproductions that have come out of Vietnam in the last 10 years or so.

Agree with gwb123.  The 602nd is really nicely made! Congrats.

Thanks to both of you!  I had a feeling the Navy one was a repro.  It seemed unusual the patch would have been made in Vietnam vs. in Japan or the Philippines.

Aye,

That's a knock off of the Ace Novelty version of VA-65 Tigers

I will have to disagree on the VA-65 patch, I believe it's Vietnamese made, original to the period. The Vietnamese did made high quality, machine embroidered patches and this one uses all correct threads. Modern repros use slightly different threads.

That’s very interesting.  It doesn’t look like the repros on Worthpoint but I thought it might be a different “generation” of repro. I’m glad to hear you think it’s original.  It’s a nicely made patch.
