Armored Forces DI Sweetheart Pin

These Armored Forces DI’s came with this Scottie Dog pin which I assume is a sweetheart pin but just checking in case it’s a unit specific pin. No maker marks found.

The 744th Tank Bn had a mascot of a black Scottie dog but his name escapes me now and it's driving me nuts.  Just a direction, not an answer.
