Picked up a grouping of Marine items and most of the items are ww1 related except the dogatgs?

The tags are ww2 issue correct?

I tried to find some info on the Marine to see if he served ww1 thru ww2.

The one tag looks earlier than the other with some Xs stamped on the bottom?

Nice tags Tony! The XXXXX are just where the typer crossed out his mistake and re used the same tag. Nice thumb print too!

He enlisted on June 8th, 1917 and served on different ships and places in WWI. Served again during WWII in the USMCR after reenlisting May 23rd, 1942. In WWII he served in the Barracks Detachment, Marine Barracks, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida.
