Pep Posted November 3, 2019 #1 Posted November 3, 2019 I do not see many posts of early nylon type jackets here. I too love the leather but the nylon types have a special appeal. I believe this jacket to be a late 57 early 58 date of mfg. Can anyone please confirm this?
1canpara Posted November 3, 2019 #4 Posted November 3, 2019 Thats a beauty! Great looking jacket and I love the old style AAF marking on the shoulder!
Bebel Posted November 3, 2019 #5 Posted November 3, 2019 As the MIL-J-7448B spéc. was issued in May 1955 and the D in 1959, you may be right. Unfortunately, I don't know the date of issue of the 7448C spéc. Your jacket seems to be very beautiful. Such jackets in very good shape are not so common. Franck

That info at least gives more confidence to my date assumption. The jacket came from the estate of LT. William Zalinsky (5th AF, 67th Tactical recon wing in 1951-Korea)
