KASTAUFFER Posted February 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2018 I just acquired this very interesting Bronze Star. It is officially hand engraved. Based on the newspaper articles, it appears he was one of the Counter Intelligence Corps Special Agents who apprehended Tojo and a few other war criminals in Japan in 1945. However, you would think that he would deserve a higher award for the important people he captured. You never know what the brass will do.
