Nice work!! I have been trying to correlate the awards on my dad's jacket with what I can document and they come up short. He landed at both Gela and Salerno with the Rangers ahead of the main force and yet there are no arrowheads. There are 6 battles/campaigns listed on his discharge papers and only has 4 stars. Where it might make sense is that in the FSSF he drove an ambulance and light trucks and in 474th he was a light truck driver. Maybe had no dress Ike. No need for wearing medals. The Ike he wore home he got on the ship home from an FSSF/474th member that he had served with for two years had the job of Quarter Master on the liberty ship that brought them home

Airborne-Hunter

For what it's worth, I have a group of FSSF to an officer KIA in Italy in 1943....it came with with crossed infantry rifles.... and the portrait photo of him wearing his uniform with the cord and oval shows infantry rifles as well....Best ABN
