Sarge8 Posted March 5, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2017 I think this a 6th Armored Cav SSI. May have been brought home by my ANC mother-in-law. What do you think? Locally made in ETO or UK? Approx. value? Thanks in advance for any help.

tredhed2 Posted March 5, 2017 Share #8 Posted March 5, 2017 In my experience, chain-stitched examples were made in Belgium. Further, this is for 6th Cav Gp/Regt. It was not redesignated ACR until Nov 1948.
Sarge8 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Share #9 Posted March 5, 2017 Thanks for the responses everyone. She was with the 107th EVAC. They landed in Normandy Jul 1944 and earned 5 campaign stars. She brought home a bunch of patches, and put them on a hand made quilt made from red and white bandage material in the '80s. We used to display it at their reunions. They were in Northern Ireland, Wales, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Frank
Sarge8 Posted March 7, 2017 Author Share #10 Posted March 7, 2017 Checked the quilt she made and found a second one, slightly different.
