JosephC Posted June 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2016 I have acquired two 1917 lanyards - one outright and one that came on a 1940 Enfield revolver. They look different from each other and would like opinions on both. The one that came with the enfield is softer more flexible and lighter in color than the one I purchased outright. They are both dated same but the crimps are different. The darker one is stiff and may have a rosin or wax on it. The darker one is also slightly longer in length. Are they both original? 268th C.A. Posted June 7, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 7, 2016 They are probably just different Manufactures. But both are WW1 era. I have a few that differ in color as well
robinb Posted June 7, 2016 Share #3 Posted June 7, 2016 I've encountered both types before as well. I don't think they is anything to them being different. I suspect the darker stiffer one has had some kind of waterproofing treatment done to it.

lkgmadmax Posted June 8, 2016 Share #5 Posted June 8, 2016 Can anyone suggest what value can be placed on one in similar condition? Sent from my Lenovo YT3-X50F using Tapatalk
12thengr Posted June 8, 2016 Share #6 Posted June 8, 2016 Fifty bucks or a little under seems to be the going price, this one cost me forty-five from another member and I'm very happy with it.
Ronnie Posted June 9, 2016 Share #7 Posted June 9, 2016 They generally are much cheaper than the WWII version. Ronnie
