Timberwolf Posted June 24, 2016 Share #26 Posted June 24, 2016 Okay I snapped some photos of this impressive grouping. Have his Extract for the Silver Star and Paperwork for one of his Purple Hearts. The documents look like they could be signed by General Swift as they are both slightly different. Mike Great group! Was this guy a hoosier? R Michael Posted June 24, 2016 Share #27 Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks!! No sir he was a Texan. I bought this because he was in the HQ troop of the 8th Cavalry same as my Great Uncle. Since I have very little of his service and I am sure they had to have known each other I had to have it.. Mike Great group! Was this guy a hoosier? billrob68 Posted June 24, 2016 Share #28 Posted June 24, 2016 Outstanding group Mike, having the original award documents really adds to it. Bill
R Michael Posted June 24, 2016 Share #29 Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks Bill. I have more to the grouping but this is the highlights. There was a Type 94 pistol that was with the grouping but was stolen a year prior to me obtaining the group. Mike Outstanding group Mike, having the original award documents really adds to it.
