scotty1418 Posted May 21, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2016 I found a couple similarly marked examples in the archives with a clutchback - just curious if anyone's run into a pair like these? Nice feather detail and marked "1/20-10K Except FITT" on the reverse with something illegible in the shield? They feel a tad light to be sterling... Thanks! Marksman Posted May 22, 2016 Share #2 Posted May 22, 2016 Its a very interesting wing. Looks like it is very thin. 1/20 10K except fitt stand for 1/20 10 karat gold exept fitting. I also love the details and feathering.

Scotty, The Pilot wing you posted appears to be a WWII era SMILO pattern... made by Daniel Smilo. I believe the illegible word on the back of the shield is an obliterated "Sterling" mark. If you place the word "SMILO" in the wing section search engine, you should come up with several dozen similar wings for comparison. Thank you for posting your example.
