phantomfixer Posted December 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 27, 2015 Here is a nice plain helmet, I am going to say a McCord...no special history, vet died, house sold, pickers cleaned out all his uniforms and other cool stuff, and when the new owners moved in this was in the basement still...So now it has been saved.... Firestone liner, sweat band just needs to be rebuckled... And when I say no special history, I am not referring to the vet....The vets all have a special story, unfortunately, this one I will never know

NPerry Posted December 29, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 29, 2015 Nothing plain about that helmet. It hasn't been cleaned. goof-offed, wet-wiped,heat stamp-scraped, re-enactor-used or otherwise collector-messed-with. Try finding one like this in 10 years.
