I found this a couple days ago in a pile of junk at a flea market. It is dated 1944, and is a phone control box (clearly labeled). In the first picture, the name tag says " SIGNAL CORPS, PHONE CONTROL BOX". Can I have a better description on how this was used, maybe some pictures? Thanks.

Does the label also have a BC-### on it? That will help ID it.

One place says " Control box, Vehicular, used in tanks." and another says they are part of the RC-53 and RC-99 "tank interphones" which sounds like an intercom system.
