krautpot Posted March 16, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 16, 2015 I got a set of 4 McFarlane action figurs from an ebay auction. Okay, I think sculpture is describes it better than action figure. They make a good job on the book shelf, great details out of the box.

krautpot Posted March 16, 2015 Author Share #11 Posted March 16, 2015 The EOD is an older model, I believe the figure is from the first or second McFarlane military series. The clothes have a more plastic shiny look. The other ones are later issues, you can see clearly the improvements. No more shiny parts.
doyler Posted March 16, 2015 Share #12 Posted March 16, 2015 Are these hard to find or still produced?
krautpot Posted March 16, 2015 Author Share #13 Posted March 16, 2015 You can still find them on ebay or amazon now and then. New figures still in the box are becoming really expensive here in Europe. The price going up like a rocket. I only buy unboxed ones. I believe Mcfarlane made 9 or 10 series with 6-7 figures. But I am not sure if they are still producing.
ArtyScout Posted March 17, 2015 Share #14 Posted March 17, 2015 Very nice. They do a great job with the facial features especially. They look so life like. Semper Fi. Manny
strawberry 9 Posted March 17, 2015 Share #15 Posted March 17, 2015 McFarlane was always known for his detailed sculptures. I used to have a lot of his Spawn figures. These are really nice. Did he do any WWII related figures?
krautpot Posted March 17, 2015 Author Share #16 Posted March 17, 2015 There was a Call of duty- World at war- edition, which was released in 2008. It was a set of 4 marines (flamethrower, officer with Thompson smg, rifleman etc.) and a british commando in snow camo with sten smg. Awesome stuff, impossible to find on the market. Proud Kraut Posted March 20, 2015 Share #18 Posted March 20, 2015 Incredible Figures. Thanks for sharing these! Could you provide some more informations about material, size, scale etc.
krautpot Posted March 21, 2015 Author Share #19 Posted March 21, 2015 The figures are 6 inch versions, scale 1/12. The main body is hard, massive plastic, they have a very pleasent heavy weight. There are some tiny metal parts too, the rings of the weapon belts for example. The belts or the diving mask of the seal is rubber.
krautpot Posted March 21, 2015 Author Share #20 Posted March 21, 2015 If someone is interested, the combat engineer/EOD is for sale. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235717-mcfarlane-6-inch-action-figure-eod-combat-engineer/?p=1877857 Cheers Michael
automatic Posted March 21, 2015 Share #21 Posted March 21, 2015 I love the McFarlane figures, I have some of Jack Bauer from the series 24. I didn't know they made military ones, I will have to pick some up now . Thanks for sharing!

filupe Posted April 9, 2015 Share #23 Posted April 9, 2015 I don't think they did as many as 9-10 series .. more like 4-5. They only did 1 series of the WWII figures. AFAIK they aren't produced anymore as their licensed figures lines were more lucrative (another figure manufacturer, Hot Toys, have also stopped their military range for the same reason). As an outsider I did find one strange feature of the McFarlane military figures was that each figure was produced in Caucasian and non-Caucasian (predominantly Afro-American) versions.
