It looks as if this Doughboy has pinned a likeness of the 28th Division insignia onto his overseas cap.

Some aviation related pins comprised of a 94th Aero Squadron pin placed below the aviator's wing worn by Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, and what I assume to be a pin in the form of an airplane prop placed above the wings worn by the pilot on the left. The inset shows a U.S. Navy Air Service roundel.

Discharge buttons in bronze for any soldier who was honorably discharged and in silver for all soldiers who were wounded or gassed in action.

Sandwiched between the bronze and silver discharge buttons is a non-regulation discharge pin showing what I assume to be a point up discharge stripe.

Last one ... a pin depicting the likeness of a Native American Indian. The purpose or significance of which is unknown. Does anybody care to guess?

Great collection of items! Thanks so much for posting all of these. I feel like this one should be pinned so others can easily reference.

Here's a couple of pins that eluded me during my initial search for photos.

Another Red Cross pin and a curious Quartermaster Corps pin. Could the inverted triangle background shape represent an affiliation with the YMCA?

I thought I'd add some additional images of WW I era pins and lapel buttons ...

Three discharge buttons - the first being in the form of a collar disc.
