wildcat123 Posted February 6, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2008 I just picked up this helmet from J. Murray. John E. Farrell (20649817) was a National Guardsman (128th Regt, 32nd ID) from Columbia County Wisconsin. He was killed in action on December 17, 1942 in New Guinea (from what I have put together). I am assuming this was his helmet when he was with his National Guard unit or during his training. From his NARA record, his unit was Nationalized in October of 1940. Let me what you think. wildcat123 Posted February 6, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted February 6, 2008 Thanks for the info! I am assuming that he was reinterred in the Phillipines after the war. Yet another research project. Tyler
