Allen Dail Posted April 11, 2012 #1 Posted April 11, 2012 Hello I am not that knowledgable on EGA emblems. I have had this M-1951 pile field cap for a while and bought it with this EGA on the front . The labels in the cap have a name partin I believe but not 100% sure with a date of 26,sept 1951 and Dec 26,1953.I was trying to figure out if this emblem would be correct for the korean period or was it a later addition to the cap.Is this the emblem used from 1936-1955? I think it may be but not sure. Thanks for the help.Allen
teufelhunde.ret Posted April 11, 2012 #2 Posted April 11, 2012 Is this the emblem used from 1936-1955? I think it may be but not sure. Thanks for the help. Allen It is the pattern adopted in 1955 and is current use to this day, as issued emblems for Enlisted Personnel.

patches Posted November 5, 2020 #4 Posted November 5, 2020 Sure, as seen on this Marine in Korea in January 1951 EGA on a M1943 Pile Cap.
Brig Posted November 6, 2020 #5 Posted November 6, 2020 It is also a belt plate emblem, and not a cover emblem
Boy Howdy Posted November 16, 2021 #6 Posted November 16, 2021 What would a proper EGA look like for a 1951 dated pile cap? Screw back or clutch back?

Boy Howdy Posted November 20, 2021 #10 Posted November 20, 2021 Would these be the proper 37 pattern EGA's ?
