I picked up an interesting group belonging to a USN Sailor who served on the Baltimore Cruiser CA-68 during and after WWII.  I got some interesting items and wanted to share this particular trinket.  It was his silver ID bracelet with engraving.  I like the fact it has his name, date, ship, service number and his rating.  This was the first one I had ever seen with this much information.

Think of all the many other wonderful pieces like this that have been sold as scrap silver.  Glad you were able to save this one from a similar fate.

My guess it was done onboard the Baltimore.

My grandfather was a radar man on the Baltimore!
