Tentitans112887 Posted June 23, 2017 #1 Posted June 23, 2017 Just picked this small grouping up. It belonged to PFC Gilbert Ivie of the 147th Infantry Regiment. Mr. Ivie was from Oregon and enlisted in mid-1943. It came with a 147th DUI, monel T-44 dog tags, Good conduct medal and award document, Expert Infantry Badge (sterling, clutch back) and award company order document, and Iwo Jima commendation. It's a pretty cool small grouping.
bellasilva Posted June 23, 2017 #4 Posted June 23, 2017 Man I saw this one and it was just the dog tags, then I saw that the listing ended at a certain price but the documents were now included. Really nice group, congrats
Tentitans112887 Posted June 23, 2017 Author #5 Posted June 23, 2017 Thanks. I messaged the seller because the the description said they had other items from the same vet. So, I wanted to know what else they had of his. They sent me pics and we worked out a price. I was comfortable with the price and jumped. I was excited. I've scored some pretty nice tags sets from the seller.
Snackattacker Posted November 13, 2019 #6 Posted November 13, 2019 I picked up his helmet recently from his grandaughter.
copper252 Posted November 20, 2019 #7 Posted November 20, 2019 I picked up his helmet recently from his grandaughter. Id love to see that helmet if you have a photo of it.
copper252 Posted November 23, 2019 #9 Posted November 23, 2019 Sorry for delay. Thanks, I'd love to have a 147th Infantry grouping with a uniform someday.
