usaf70 Posted July 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2007 USAF Command Pilot Wing marked "Silver-Filled" and S-21. What did the S-21 represent and from what period would these wings belong? Korea or Vietnam era? Tom
Walt175 Posted July 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 23, 2007 The S-21 is the manufacturer's code. Off hand I don't know which one that is, but I'm sure someone here has that info. Judging by the fact they are silver filled and not sterling, I'd say late 1960's or newer.
CNY Militaria Posted July 23, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 23, 2007 Susco/Harry Sugerman Inc., San Antonio, TX is the S21 maker.
John Cooper Posted July 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 24, 2007 I agree with the 1960's (or later) since it was about mid 60's there was a swtich to the three digit codes. John

Joe These are similar dates I have discussed and read in a few publications but have never seen anything offical on this topic. I understand these came about via a letter from the IoH. Can you shed additional light on this topic... Thanks JC
