Corsair F4U-1 "Birdcage" Kenneth Walsh

Hello Guys.

Today I received from my friend as a gift nice model of F4U-1 "Birdcage" very early version of Corsair plane...

The painted is the same like F4U-1 corsair of USMC Ace Kenneth Walsh from VMF-214.

Model is from Trumpeter company + some conversion kit for Birdcage version: cockpit and propeller...

Enjoy the photos...

I love the "aging" done on that piece... especially to the props and fuselage areas from slipstream.

I like the fuel spillage and grime!!....nice touch!.......mike thumbsup.gif

Wow now that one is nice and the attention to detail is unreal!

The overspray and tape marks from the repainted fuselage stars....simply wow! The fuel spill is very well done too.

Totally amazing - the F4U has to be my all time favorite prop plane from the era.
