VFW hats with unit patches

I found some VFW hats at an antique store that have nice patches on them. One is an awesome 29th ID patch made on wool backing. I guess from WWI or WWII. The other I have no idea what it is?? I paid $3 for the 29th hat and $2.50 for the other.

I predict that as the vets die off and WW1/WW2 items become hard to get, vet association items will take off.

 

I do not know what the 22 is, but the hat bears a post 22 on it, so I would suggest it has something to do with the post, not the guy's wartime service.

Hi Craig, sorry for the delay in responce. That patch is blue and silvery grey on OD wool. The wool resembles blanket material.
