MattOravik Posted September 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 5, 2007 I found some VFW hats at an antique store that have nice patches on them. One is an awesome 29th ID patch made on wool backing. I guess from WWI or WWII. The other I have no idea what it is?? I paid $3 for the 29th hat and $2.50 for the other. -Matt.
craig_pickrall Posted September 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 5, 2007 Is the 29th patch blue and grey or blue and white? Nice cap and a great price.
jgawne Posted September 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 6, 2007 I predict that as the vets die off and WW1/WW2 items become hard to get, vet association items will take off. I do not know what the 22 is, but the hat bears a post 22 on it, so I would suggest it has something to do with the post, not the guy's wartime service. MattOravik Posted September 25, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted September 25, 2007 Hi Craig, sorry for the delay in responce. That patch is blue and silvery grey on OD wool. The wool resembles blanket material. -Matt.
